Hi CeNobiteElf,

Nice that you are working on verb templates. Something you might want to consider for incorporation: separable verbs. They have different form in a direct and an indirect clause. Ek maak reg - dat ek regmaak. The infinitive is also separable: regmaak, reg te maak. Jcwf (kontak) 01:00, 8 Oktober 2013 (UTC)Beantwoord

Ahoy, actually I'm not working on the verb templates per se, in all honesty, I would like to fix the general page layout first. It's a mess, IMO, and I'm planning on calling a vote when I have more examples to show. I say it's a mess due to
  1. pages are generally not maintainable, raw table code and senseless templates everywhere
  2. bad use of whitespace, for example on the average page we see the table being right-aligned with a large amount of whitespace just sitting there, further making the pages seem long even though there might only be a single definition.
  3. the linking to a conjugation or declension page (I'm well aware that it is used on other Wiktionaries) but what's the point? If someone looks up a word, you have 10 seconds to give that person the information they need, telling them to go to another page is an annoyance, and adds more waiting time on them, not to mention, having the declension or conjugation on the main entry makes it more likely to be correct and maintained, by virtue of visibility.
Anyway, I'm still playing around with the formats. Check the top of Gebruiker:CeNobiteElf/hê to see my other general qualms so far. So far I'm happiest with a layout like Gebruiker:CeNobiteElf/hê2, but it falls apart in pages like Gebruiker:CeNobiteElf/besit (even though it's not done) where if we take the path of uniformity, we'll end up with a bunch of boxes all cluttered up on the right side of the page, assuming short entries for a lot of languages; I understand that it's nice to have full detailed pages on everything, but that's unfortunately not always an option.
Lastly, sorry, the reply to your post kinda turned into a braindump of my current feelings xD Didn't mean to sound flippant, but I'd really like to change the Afrikaans wiktionary to something that looks good and is easy to maintain. If you have any inputs, feel free to tell me. :)

Holding a vote is kind of futile. Since Manie left this wikti has been standing idle.
